What's MBoxinfo?

MBoxinfo shows statistical data about mailboxes (Unix Mailbox, MH and Maildir formats are supported).

Displayed data:

• total size of the messages, total plaintext [1] size.
• average size and plaintext size.
• number of different authors and different threads.
• number of encrypted and signed messages.
• number of HTML-only messages (zero, hopefully...)
• top 10 authors by number of messages.
• top 10 threads by number of messages.
• top 10 mail user agents.
• top 10 messages by size.
• top 10 messages by plaintext size.
• top 10 hosts by number of messages.
• top 10 hosts by generated traffic.
• top 10 MIME types.
• top 10 charsets.

[1] plaintext is what the author wrote without headers, quoted text, signatures, attachments and HTML-code.

MBoxinfo requires Python 2.2 or later.
