Cose varie ed eventuali, cattive
idee e pessime implementazioni, di cui non mi assumerò
certo la responsabilità nel caso vi uccidano il cane o
trombino la morosa (o viceversa).
- IMDbPY: package Python per la raccolta e la
gestione di informazioni provenienti dal database di
IMDb.
- RunPON: Gnome applet
per eseguire gli script pon/poff e visualizzare la
durata della connessione.
- amarok2rhythmbox: Script
Python per migrare la libreria musicale di Amarok 1.4 verso
quella di Rhythmbox.
- amarok2gmpc: Script
Python per migrare la libreria musicale di Amarok 1.4 verso
quella di gmpc/MPD.
- DAXFi: package Python che facilita la
configurazione e gestione di un firewall in maniera
indipendente dal firewall stesso. Al momento sono
supportati ipfilter, iptables, ipchains ed ipfwadm (su
molte architetture). Grazie al package Python è
semplice scrivere nuove applicazioni firewall-independent;
sono inclusi alcuni utili programmi pronti all'uso. Le
regole possono essere descritte come file (o stringhe) XML
oppure generate direttamente dal codice.
- IPlib: modulo Python (alcuni
programmi di esempio sono inclusi) per convertire un
indirizzo IPv4 in vari formati (decimal dot notation,
esadecimale, binaria, decimale, ottale); inoltre converte e
controlla la validità delle netmask e fornisce
informazioni sugli indirizzi CIDR.
- ALS: una implementazione in Python
di un sistema secret sharing a soglia; un segreto (il
contenuto di un file), viene spezzato in più parti
in modo tale che solo riunendo (almeno) un numero
predefinito di pezzi sia possibile ricostruire il segreto
iniziale.
- JRainWords: un programma Java per
insegnare ai bambini l'uso della tastiera.
- dilbert-fetch: a Python
script to be executed by procmail to extract/fetch
dilbert's stripes from the daily newsletter.
- MBoxinfo: script Python per
mostrare alcune informazioni statistiche su mailbox in
formato Maildir, Unix Mailbox ed MH.
- MLBuilder: un set di classi
PHP per semplificare la creazione di interfacce basate su
sistemi di tag (come l'HTML).
- NNTPyPOST: an auto-poster
written in Python, usable to periodically send Usenet
messages with the special header Supersedes properly set
and many other features. Used in the it.comp.os.linux.*
hierarchy.
- MyLeaf: Python script
meant to be used with the leafnode 1.* news server to save,
in a "fake" Usenet local group (and/or in a local
directory), every message which matches a given set of
regular expressions.
- POSTpass: Python script
of dubious morality: it sends http POST requests and scans
the replies. With this (highly configurable) script and a
dictionary, it's possibile to automatically scan webmail
services for the password of a given account. Warning: the
script, as it is, will probably blown your own system, if
you try to use it without reading the code and if you don't
carefully think about how it really works (so,
beware!).
- Euro: programma C++ che
converte lire in euro e viceversa.
- RotX: C program to convert
strings to a variable rot code.

1.1 for Python 1.5.2: to use a recent version of
distutils with Python 1.5.
- Knews: patch for KNews
1.0b1 which adds a couple of Xt resources usable to set, at
runtime, your own domain name and the command used to send
emails.
- XFMail GnuPG:
patch for XFMail 1.3, to use GnuPG to encrypt emails (this
patch was included in XFMail version 1.4 and in
Archimedes).
